Summer Reading

Tiverton Middle School: Summer Reading 2019

Tiverton Middle School is pleased to announce its Summer Reading Program for 2019. This year's program will focus on poetic verse novels.

Grades 5 and 6 will have the choice of either Heartbeat by Sharon Creech or Locomotion by Jacqueline Woodson. If your child is up for a challenge, a third option is available. It is Inside Out & Back Again by Thanhha Li.

Grades 7 and 8 will choose between Stop Pretending by Sonya Sones or House Arrest by K.A. Holt. The challenge read, for those students that are interested, will be Under the Mesquite by Guadalupe Garcia McCall.

Some books will be available through the local library. Click here to find an assignment to go along with your child’s book. This assignment should be turned in to your child’s ELA teacher by Monday, September 9th, 2019.  Happy reading!
