Student Assistance Counselor

The position of Student Assistance Counselor is one that is contracted through EBCAP in order to provide counseling services to any student that might need help with a social/emotional problem that is affecting their school performance.  This might involve home issues (i.e.: divorce, loss of loved one, family conflict) or interpersonal issues (i.e.: bullying, social skills, healthy relationships), or personal problems (i.e.: substance use, anxiety, depression).   The student assistance counselor works in conjunction with guidance, the nurse, and the school psychologist to provide support individually and in groups.

The Students Assistance Counselor also runs TMSLeaders -- which is a council of students who assists in enhancing school culture.
