School Health Services

Welcome to the School Health web page.  The School Health Office is open on school days from 7:45am to 2:30pm to provide health services and state-mandated health screenings (i.e. vision, dental, and scoliosis screenings).  Please feel free to contact our Health Services Office & School Nurse for an individual support needs your child may have. Additional information is below for your reference.


An Important message to parents with children entering the 7th and 8th grade.
In accordance with the Rhode Island Departments of Health Rules and Regulation Pertaining to Immunization, the following are immunizations are required for entry into the 7th and 8th grades:

Immunization requirements for all students entering 7th grade:

  • One (1) dose of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccine
  • Four (4) doses of Polio vaccine (the final dose needs to be on or after their 4th birthday)
  • Two (2) doses of MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine
  • Three (3) doses of Hepatitis B vaccine
  • Two (2) doses of Varicella (chickenpox) vaccine or a statement signed by your child’s pediatrician confirming a history of chickenpox
  • One (1) dose of Meningococcal conjugate (meningitis) vaccine
  • One (1) dose of HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine (Students will not be excluded due to failure to obtain HPV vaccine.  Parents are asked to sign an exemption form)

Immunization requirements for all students entering 8th grade:In addition to the 7th-grade requirements above,  all students entering 8th grade are required to have

  • Two (2) doses HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine

An annual Flu (influenza) vaccine is RECOMMENDED for all students‚Äč
