I hope you’re having a great week! Just 3 weeks left until summer! Please remember: the last day of school is Friday, June 16th, which is a ½ day of school (school ends at noon).
Annual ChromeBook and Cord Return Week!!! This week is our Annual Chromebook and Cord return week. Classes who have 100% of Chromebooks AND cords returned by this Friday will be eligible for extra recess time!! Go Pocasset!!! #PocassetProud
Color Run: Today is the last day to register for Color Run if you would like your child to be eligible for any of the Color Run prizes. Thank you!
BCI’s: We’d love to have families participate in our Year End activities. In order to do so, you will need to have a valid (current) BCI. BCI’s are only valid for 1 year, so if you had your BCI completed last May or June, you will need to redo it in time for Field Day or Color Run. Please call the Tiverton Police Department to schedule your BCI time - it takes about 10 minutes. Thank you!
Spring Wear: Spring has sprung, and so has the warm weather. Just a reminder of spring wear in elementary schools:
Tank tops: straps must be 2 fingers wide (no spaghetti straps)
Shorts: need to be fingertip length long
No beachwear
Shoes/sneakers: heels need to be attached (by strap) to ankle (Crocs must have the back strap) for safety - No Flip Flops allowed for safety
Sunscreen: Please put sunscreen on your child before school
Bug Spray: Please put bug spray on your child before school to prevent ticks/bug bites
We will be going outside as much as possible over the next 3 weeks. Thank you!

Thursday, 6/1: Fourth Grade to visit TMS (morning only - more details to follow as the date approaches); RI SPCA will visit grades 1 and 4 in the afternoon for a special presentation about animal safety
Friday, 6/2: Cartoon Day - Dress as your favorite school-appropriate cartoon character

Tuesday 6/6: 3:45 pm Pocasset Faculty Meeting; 6 pm Grade 4 Parent Orientation to TMS
Wednesday 6/7: Grade 1 Field Trip
Thursday 6/8: 2pm Music Assembly in Gym; 7 pm Grade 4 Strings Concert at THS
Friday 6/9: Kindergarten: Dress Your Best Day; Grades 1-4: Twin Day - Dress like your friend day; 1:00 pm Kindergarten Celebration
Monday 6/12: K and PreK - in-school assembly; Title 1 Reading & Math Celebrations (2:00 pm Grades K-1; 2:30 pm Grades 2-3); 6:30 pm Grade 4 Music and Art Assembly in Pocasset Gym
Tuesday, 6/13: Grade 2 Field Trip; Grade 3 Field Trip; Grade 4 Field Trip
Wednesday 6/14: 2:00 pm Color Run!!!
Thursday 6/15: Field Day and Sports Dress Up Day!!! 9:15-10:30 Kindergarten; 9:15-11:30 Grades 1-4; 10:00 am PreK Morning Field Day (in small PreK Playground); 2:30 pm PreK Afternoon Class Celebration/Promotion Ceremony
Friday 6/16: 9:30 am Grade 4 Promotion Ceremony and Grade 4: Dress Your Best Day (more details to follow as the date approaches); Our last day of school is a Half Day, and we will be dismissing students at Noon; Also, we will be sending home final report cards on 6/16
