TIGER STRONG at JV STATES! It was the boys’ turn to shine at the RI JV State Meet held at Hendricken High School, and our Tiverton Tigers delivered with an impressive 7th place finish out of 33 teams! Standout Performances: Brady Joslyn led the charge with a 1st place finish in the 1500m (new school record & personal best) and a 2nd place in the 800m (personal best & school record)! Mason Lazar launched a massive 130+ foot throw in javelin to secure 2nd place and a new personal best! Colin Messenger sprinted to a 3rd place medal in the 400m! Christian Swain added valuable points with an 8th place finish in the high jump! The 4x400m relay team of Gabriel Carrizo, Colby Lopes, Brady Joslyn, and Colin Messenger closed the meet with a thrilling 3rd place finish! TIGER PRIDE ALERT! Huge congratulations to our Lady Tigers Track & Field team for finishing 8th out of 32 teams at the RI JV State Meet! Relay Dominance: The Girls 4x800m team (Ellery Pacheco, Isabella Petri, Jordan Smith, and Ava Macfarlane) raced to a 6th place finish and set a new school record! The 4x100m relay team (Norah Winslow, Juleighani Soto, Isabella Petri, and Ellery Pacheco) took 1st place and shattered another school record! Field Event Highlights: Beatrice Pimental threw a personal best of 74'2" in the javelin, finishing 11th out of 42. Norah Winslow also impressed in javelin with a 70'7" throw, placing 14th. Jordan Smith launched herself to a 30'3" triple jump, finishing in 5th earning a personal best and a new school record! Isabella Petri another dominating performance claiming 1st place in the long jump! Sprinting to Greatness: Ellery Pacheco placed 5th out of 69 in the 200m dash and 4th in the 400m, both with personal bests—including a new school record in the 400m! Olivia Costa placed 6th in the 300m hurdles with a personal best and new school record. She and Julia Keating also ran personal bests in the 100m hurdles, with Costa breaking her own school record!
